CELIOS x GudangAda: Landscape, Opportunities, and Challenges of B2B FMCG Business in Indonesia During the Digital Transformation Acceleration Period

Studi “B2B FMCG Marketplace Indonesia Outlook 2023” oleh CELIOS bekerja sama dengan GudangAda menganalisis kondisi bisnis B2B Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) di Indonesia di tengah ketidakpastian ekonomi global. Fokus utama studi ini adalah memperkuat ketahanan UKM, yang menjadi kontributor utama penyerapan tenaga kerja dan PDB.

Hasil riset menunjukkan transaksi e-commerce B2B terus tumbuh, dengan potensi peningkatan sebesar 25% pada 2023. Platform B2B FMCG membantu UKM, terutama warung tradisional, memperoleh kepastian stok, harga transparan, dan layanan konsumen lebih baik, sekaligus mempersingkat rantai distribusi tradisional.

Meski demikian, ekosistem digital B2B menghadapi tantangan seperti rendahnya literasi keuangan dan digital UKM serta kesenjangan akses digital. Studi ini menyoroti potensi bisnis pasca-pandemi, adopsi digital UKM, dan memberikan rekomendasi bagi pemerintah serta pemangku kepentingan untuk mendorong akselerasi transformasi digital dan daya saing UKM.

The study “B2B FMCG Marketplace Indonesia Outlook 2023” conducted by CELIOS in collaboration with GudangAda, analyzes the state of B2B Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business in Indonesia amid global economic uncertainty. The study focuses on strengthening MSME resilience, which remains a key contributor to employment and GDP.

The research shows that B2B e-commerce transactions continue to grow, with an estimated 25% increase in 2023. B2B FMCG platforms help MSMEs, particularly traditional retailers, secure reliable stock, transparent pricing, and better customer service, while also shortening the traditional distribution chain.

However, the B2B digital ecosystem faces challenges such as low financial and digital literacy among MSMEs and uneven digital access across the country. The study highlights post-pandemic business potential, digital adoption among MSMEs, and provides recommendations for government and stakeholders to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen MSME competitiveness.
