The Center of Economic and Law Studies (CELIOS) launches its latest study, “Dear Public Officials: Don’t Tax Like Hunting in a Zoo,” revealing the potential to boost state revenue by up to IDR 524 trillion annually through fair progressive taxation and a review of poorly targeted tax incentives.
The findings highlight that the tax burden should not fall solely on those already “captured” by the system but must also target large corporations and a small group of ultra-wealthy individuals who have long evaded the tax radar.
